Why are you selling discontinued pendants on your website?

As Tech Lighting has historically discontinued products, we have not had a channel through which we could make them available for sale. Customers have specifically asked for access to our discontinued products, and this helps us make space in our warehouse for active products.

Do you have plans to sell your current product via your website?

No, we do not have any intention of selling active products on our website. We are a manufacturer, and as such, sell our active products exclusively through retail showrooms, internet retailers and electrical distributors throughout North America and internationally. This simply helps alleviate a need we have with regard to discontinued products.

Are there any quality issues with the discontinued products?

No, there are absolutely no quality issues with any of these pendants. They are the same high quality as the products currently offered in the Tech Lighting catalog. As we design new products each year, other products are simply phased out. We are able to offer these pendants at a deep discount because we can pass on the savings we will realize by eliminating storage expenses and selling direct.

Why are you offering only discontinued pendants for sale; do you also have other types of fixtures that have been discontinued over the years?

We want to assess this new process for selling discontinued product prior to expanding the program into other fixture categories. This is certainly something we would consider in the future.

I noticed you have a lot of inventory of some items. In your efforts to deplete all this inventory, will the prices of some discontinued pendants ever come down even further in the future if some of the inventory is not moving?

No, the stated prices for the discontinued pendants are already deeply discounted, and those prices will remain as is. There is no deadline by which we have to deplete all the inventory, so all the discontinued pendants will remain available on the site, at the already reduced price, until they are sold.

If I want to hang my pendant from a Tech Lighting monorail track system or a different canopy instead of the canopy provided, can I purchase these products through this site?

In order to purchase active product from Tech Lighting, you would need to work with a lighting designer or retail lighting showroom to plan and purchase those products. You can use the showroom locator on our homepage to find your nearest showroom.

As one of your retail or professional customers already, would it be possible to add some of these discontinued pendants to a purchase order in which we're already purchasing current product from Tech Lighting?

No, unfortunately we are not able to add these items to a regular order. We do welcome you to purchase these discontinued items, but they are only available for sale on the Tech Lighting Website with payment processed via PayPal.

How will Payment be processed for these purchases?

We will be processing all payments for these purchases through PayPal since they are an industry leader in processing e-commerce payments.

I don’t have nor do I want to set-up a PayPal account; can I pay through some other method?

All you need is a credit card to make a purchase. Although the payment will be processed through PayPal, you do not need to have nor set-up an account with PayPal. You’ll simply provide your credit card information for this single payment, and PayPal will process the payment for this individual purchase without requiring you to set-up an account.

Would I be able to send a purchase to an address other than my own?

. PayPal will require that you input your own billing address for the order payment, but on the last screen of the PayPal transaction, there is an opportunity to change the address to which the purchase is to be shipped.

Why am I not receiving my confirmation emails after I place an order?

Please make sure that you used a valid email address and that your email filters are set to allow emails from paypal.com and techlighting.com so that the email confirmations do not end up in your junk folder.

What are the shipping options for these discontinued pendants?

Given our deeply discounted prices, we are only able to offer one shipping option for the discontinued pendants, which is standard delivery within 14 business days of the order sent to any of the 48 contiguous states.

Where will you ship these items?

We will only ship to the lower 48 United States. We will not ship internationally, nor to Hawaii or Alaska.

Are these discontinued pendants covered under warranty?

See the return policy, below, for details about how to replace/return any of the discontinued pendants purchased through www.techlighting.com within 7 days of receipt. Beyond the 7-day period, however, we are not able to cover these products under a long-term warranty for replacement because the inventories of these discontinued pendants will be depleted through this program, and we will not have any of the same product available in the future with which to replace these discontinued pendants.

What is the return/replacement policy for TechLighting.com purchases made on the Obsolete Sale Website?

Please note: this answer is meant to assist customers who made a direct purchase from TechLighting.com. If you own Tech Lighting products not originally purchased on the TechLighting.com website, you should contact the lighting professional or retailer from whom you purchased the items with any questions or return requests.

When you purchase discontinued products from TechLighting.com, we want you to be completely satisfied. Because we are offering the discontinued items at a steep discount, there are some restrictions to our return policy. All discounted products purchased through TechLighting.com must be returned to us within 7 days of receipt for replacement or refund.  The original on-line Order Number must be provided at the time of the replacement/return.  For any returned order, a re-stocking fee will apply which is equivalent to 20% of the original order amount and will be deducted from the refund credit applied to the Credit Card used for the original on-line purchase.  Replacement requests will be assessed and handled the same way they are for all our current products.
